Of course! In fact, the daily operation of this library, the Richard Charles Lee Resource Centre, is almost completely done by volunteers!
In the library, volunteers will staff the circulation desk, reshelf books, and perform other duties.
Because circulation in our library has not been automated, it is necessary that our volunteers be able to read and write Chinese (to read and write book titles, and sometimes to read patron records). It would be a plus to be able to speak and understand Cantonese and/or Mandarin (as most of our readers are Chinese).
